Deposit and analysis of cultures to comply with EU feed additive regulations

EC Regulation 1831/2003 controls the use of additives in animal nutrition within the European Union. Essentially, new feed additives can only be granted an authorisation following a scientific evaluation by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

The NCYC offers a service that provides companies with the information needed for completing the requirements for Micro-organisms (part 2.2.1.2) of the commission regulation (EC) No 429/2008, which contains the detailed rules for the implementation of EC Regulation 1831/2003.
